My Thesis Statement
The lack of comprehensive sex education in schools and homes is crippling to teens today, especially since sex is a major part of U.S. culture. To drastically decrease this problem, The Boards of Education across the United States should work with their superintendents to encourage comprehensive sex education programs in schools to educate teens about sex and having parent cooperation/involvement as part of the program.

The public sex education is very disapointing. It seems that educators lean towards teaching abstinence over safe sex education.
ReplyDeleteyes i agree with nico! Americans are too afraid to talk about sex therefore they only teach abstinence instead of safe sex and the real life details.
ReplyDeleteIts very sad to think about all the young teens who dont know about safe sex. It should be a requirement to take a class about safe sex. I also agree that parents need to be involved! I hear tons of stories about outcomes of unsafe sex, pregnancy. In most situations, i feel that parents arent involved enough with their childrens life.
ReplyDeletegreat thesis. your points for a solution are great at the end, I agree that schools needs to start teaching safe-sex methods, rather then abstinence. I think if they did that, the country would see a change in teen pregnancy over time..
ReplyDeleteI agree. Another example of what you are talking about, is " sixteen and pregnant."
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your topic. I totally agree with you solution as well
ReplyDeleteI Agree, Schools Should Get With The Times, And Accept The Fact That The Age Of Kids Who Are Sexually Active Is Much Younger Then Years Ago, And Need To Promote Safe Sex, So That They Are Educated.
